Bhumika Chandwani wrote this powerful story last year when she was in year 8. She creates a strong mood of regret and has utilised visual imagery to construct compelling setting and characterisation.

Sofia, age 10, wrote a simple poem based on wind blowing her hair, then changed it so that the hair was a metaphor for memories and the wind was a metaphor for emotions. The final poem is impressive.
