The swimming carnival was a vibrant splash of colours, with energetic children taking their mark on the blocks. The air was thick with excitement and the sound of cheers shooting through the aquatic centre like a bullet of exuberance. The graceful strokes of the swimmers sent the crowd into awe; feet splashed to the noisy rhythm of the cheer, like percussion in an orchestra. The energy was as dazzling as a diamond shining in the sun. Everywhere you looked, you saw smiling swimmers come out of the pool, eyes on fire like shooting stars aiming for the edge of the universe. This was a day to remember, for the people who cheered and the skinny swimmers who won.
